DistributedDataMining (dDM)is a research project that serves as a metaproject for different kind of machine learning applications. The computational power of our dDM members is used to support the research of our Scientific Board. Currently, we are doing in Time Series Analysis. Former subprojects were dealing with Social Network Analysis and Medical Data Analysis
In 2005, a forerunner project of dDM was founded by Nico Schlitter to provide the necessary computational power for his diploma theses. In 2008, the project infrastructure was switched to the Berkeley Open Infrastructure for Network Computing (BOINC). The project went available for publicity in March 2010. Prior to that, the computational power was spent by the founder and some of his friends.
As Project Manager Nico Schlitter takes responsibility for the ongoing research and the content published on the project website. Any content publish by dDM members (e.g. in public forum) is excluded from his responsibility. Furthermore, the dDM rules and posting guidlines remain valid.
